TERMS OF USE

RANDOM TV TIME, the Android app and the browser edition. Effective September 11, 2026.

What you are using

RANDOM TV TIME is a player for the public collections of the Internet Archive (archive.org). It is provided free of charge by Elliott Lipinsky for personal, non-commercial viewing. By using it you agree to these terms.

The content is not ours

Everything the set plays is held by the Internet Archive and was uploaded there by its users. RANDOM TV TIME hosts, copies, edits and redistributes none of it; it requests items from archive.org as a web browser would and plays them from there. The Archive's own terms of use at archive.org/about/terms.php govern that material, including its rules on rights and its process for removing items. Each channel links to its item's page on archive.org, where the Archive's reporting controls are. A rights holder who believes an item should not be available should address the Internet Archive, which controls the material; the maker of this app will, on request to elliottlipinsky@gmail.com, add an item's identifier to the app's own block list in its next update.

What comes on

The set chooses at random from collections that are as varied as the Archive itself. A filter on titles and tags is on by default and locked on in the Cartoons mode, but it cannot see inside a file, so unlabelled material can slip through. The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The information panel of whatever is on has a report control and a hide control; use them.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It depends on archive.org being reachable and on the Archive's files being what their labels say; neither is within the maker's control. To the fullest extent the law allows, the maker is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or from anything it plays.

Your data

The app collects nothing. Settings, saved channels and the viewing record stay on your device. The privacy policy has the detail.

The software

The app and the browser edition, their code, names, icon and look are the work of Elliott Lipinsky. You may install and use them on your own devices and share the download link freely. You may not sell them, alter and redistribute them, or remove the credit. The bundled typefaces carry their own licences, which are listed in the app's information panel and travel with it.

Changes

These terms may change; the current version is always at this address with its effective date. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
